The health of our ocean's is a timely topic that can engage diverse student populations by interweaving many disciplines. I will tie this topic to the Colorado science standards and provide curricula and project examples from many sources such as curricula provided by non-profits, art as an inroad to science and new technologies as a means to stimulate innovation in science. This is a topic that offers an abundance of opportunities for service projects that foster student leadership.
